Off the Hook

Here are a few of the projects I have been working on.

The perfect bag.  That is really all there is to say.  I have found countless ways to make this bag; big, small, computer, summer, winter, faux leather, etc.

From a tutorial on Handmade Therapy I made these "Tea Wallets."  I am a tea drinker and like to have my "Lipton's Original" with me on the go.  My step mom loved the idea so I made one for her.

For a friend's birthday I made this Hoop Handled Handbag from a tutorial on Delia Creates.  I love how it turned out.  I had to hand sew the handle, my sewing machine and I were not agreeing on how it should be sewn on.  I have put that on my list of things to learn to do.

This summer has been the summer for babies.  I have many friends that have welcome a new bundle of joy into their lives.  Here are a few pictures of gifts I made for some friends that had a baby boy.  The bib was from a patterns found here Liberty Bibs on The Purl Bee.  I made the tag blanket from my own pattern.

I am always cold, so when I saw this tutorial from the Purl Bee I knew I had to make myself a Lap Duvet.

Felt apple coaster from Purl Bee.  I am thinking this may turn into Christmas gifts for other teachers I work with, modified into an ornament.  Very simple, hand sewn, took about 10 minutes.  Purl Soho has a bundle of apple colored wool felt that I might have to get to make these.  I used synthetic felt I had bought at Michael's, but it is a little thin and I used an interfacing between the white and red because you could see through the white.
